What a beautiful riad and an even better host family. Don’t be discouraged by the unassuming exterior. We weren’t sure we were at the right place when we arrived, but after speaking to a neighbor who ended up being a mountain guide and friendly with the riad owners, he steered us in the proper direction. The Ouirgane region of Morocco faced a devastating earthquake in September of 2023 and much of the community lost homes and are still rebuilding their village. With that being said, the riad itself was in amazing condition, well kept, and felt like a Moroccan paradise. We got there around 8 and were able to put our things down and explore the riad (which had a pool, garden, restaurant and an amazing view). We were offered tea, dinner, and dessert—much of which was made fresh from their garden. So delicious. We had a very pretty room for the night and woke up for breakfast at 9, which to no surprise was just as good as our dinner. The host family was so kind, the host Halid, his wife, his son Islam, and his brother Safir were very generous and helpful, showing our family so much grace. I would highly, highly recommend staying here on your journey through Morocco.

We visited the Riad after the earthquake and we couldn’t have been happier. Our stay at Riad Diwane was absolutely delightful! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with the warmest welcome and made to feel right at home. The owner and his family went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, and the dinner and breakfast they prepared for us were simply amazing – a true culinary delight! What truly sets Riad Diwane apart is the genuine warmth and hospitality of the entire family. We felt like cherished guests throughout our stay, and we can't wait to return.
